(Debbie)  Karis had her repeat CT today but when the docs made rounds they still didn’t know the results.  They said Karis will probably come home Monday.  She, of course, is still hoping for tomorrow!

(Debbie) Karis continues improving but is still dependent on oxygen, especially when she sleeps, so Dr. Costa put off doing the CT scan until today.  We hope she’ll come home tomorrow!  Meanwhile she is enjoying the visit of good friends … Continue reading →

(Debbie)  Karis slept most of the day yesterday.  She had to increase the amount of oxygen through the course of the day.  Today she’s more awake but she’s coughing up blood.  Dr. Costa says that’s typical of fungal infections.

(Debbie)  A CT scan of Karis’s lungs and head today showed double pneumonia and a sinus infection.  Both lower lobes of Karis’s lungs seem to be infected by bacteria, and there is an area in one lung that seems to … Continue reading →

(Debbie)  Karis ALMOST made it to three weeks out of the hospital!  She was admitted in the wee hours this morning with coughing, bad headache and fever–suspect a sinus infection.
