Karis was released from the hospital yesterday and we’re back at 7 West today, still getting daily Calcium infusions, and four hours of Phos today as well. Karis was kept in three days longer than she would have needed just because her blood pressure was too high to let her go safely. Dr. Costa finally suggested crushing her Lopressor and Hydralazine tablets (so that she can absorb them better), and it’s working!! BP down to the 130-140s instead of 180-220s! She’s making up for sleep lost in the hospital and doing well.
